Hello. I'm Thadeus. I am a carpenter and a sculptor.  I make things out of wood and other things for homes in and around Portland. I have been working in construction in some form or another for 30 years. I remodeled my first house at age 16.

Whenever I can, I like to use reclaimed or sustainable materials. Alas, that is often not an option. But I also recycle debris whenever possible and donate reusable items from my projects. My first business was in  'construction clean up, waste removal and recycling'. I'm a big fan of the planet.

My aim in all of this is to perform quality craftsmanship. I have a hard time with cutting corners and built in obsolescence (actually I'm quite good at cutting corners- I cut things for a living-  you get my point).

 I won't make a thing unless it is built to last.
